Celebrated as one of the nation's top five bartenders by Food and Wine Magazine, Lucy Brennan's one of a kind creations have drawn many accolades.
A native of London, Brennan embarked on her craft beverage lifestyle as a Beverage Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager at the San Francisco Park Hyatt Hotel. Her first experience tending bar was born when she moved to Portland, Oregon in 1994. The following year when Brennan became the Bar Manager at Portland's Saucebox restaurant, Lucy found her true calling. Lucy opened her first restaurant Mint, In the Spring of 2001, The success of Mint and the demand for her unique cocktails prompted her to open 820 Lounge next door to Mint in Spring 2003. Mint & 820’s success acted as a springboard into years of notable achievements including the following:
2001, Brennan won The Oregonian's "Battle of the Bartenders”.
2003, "Best 9 Bartenders of the Moment" by Spirit Magazine.
2003, Won the Absolut Portland Style Drink Contest in 2003.
2004, One of the top bartenders in the country by Bon Appétit.
2006, Food & Wine Magazine top five bartenders.
2007, Santé Magazine Spirit professional of the year.
2007, Playboy top 10 bartenders.
2006 Lucy authored the cocktail book Hip Sips, published by Chronicle Books.
2014 she worked with Food & Wine Magazine and Patron Tequila to introduce Roca Patron to the world.

In June of 2015 Lucy sold Mint/820, and turned her focus to Bar Consulting.
In spring 2017 Lucy became Bar Manager within BCR, running both bar programs at clarklewis & 23hoyt.
July 2018 Lucy was hired as Bar Consultant by the Owners of Piazza Italia to open Bar Rione in the Pearl District,in Portland,OR. Lucy was the Bar Manager of Bar Rione Nov 2018-March 2020.
